NO.1

Stainless steel No.1 surface is an industrial grade surface obtained by heat treatment (annealing) and pickling after hot rolling, commonly found on austenitic stainless steels (e.g. 304, 316, etc.).
NO.1
Case Details

Stainless Steel No.1 Surface is a common form of primary stainless steel surface treatment in industry with the following characteristics:

Processing: made by hot rolling, annealing (high-temperature softening treatment) and pickling (removal of oxidized skin), without polishing or fine finishing.

Appearance: the surface is matte texture, slightly rough feeling, may leave a slight rolling pattern or pickling light color traces.

Uses: Mainly used for industrial equipment (tanks, pipelines), building structural parts or as raw material for deep processing (such as polishing, cold rolling).

Advantages: low cost, good corrosion resistance, suitable for scenarios that do not require high aesthetics.

Comparison: rougher than 2B surface, cheaper than BA surface (mirror), belongs to basic industrial grade material.
